Dr. Shar Alikhani
Founder and Director of Pediatric and Dental Anesthesia Associates, Dr. Alikhani is a Board Certified Physician Anesthesiologist who is fellowship trained in Pediatric Anesthesia.
After earning a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Alikhani completed his medical education at The University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, consistently rated as one of the top ten medical schools in the country.
Dr. Alikhani continued with his anesthesia residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he also served as Chief Resident and as a clinical faculty member. His post graduate training includes a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia at Children’s Hospital in Boston, the top rated pediatric teaching facility of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Alikhani has served as Chief of Anesthesia at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) at Mission for 10 years.
Dr. Alikhani has conducted extensive primary research and has appeared in more than twenty scientific publications. In addition, he has had multiple presentations at national meetings, and he enjoys teaching new techniques to practicing anesthesiologists.
He has devoted more than 10 years to the care of children at a Pediatric Trauma Center. Dr. Alikhani lives in Orange County with his wife and two children, ages 8 and 10. He combines his knowledge and background in Pediatric Anesthesia to provide the safest sedation possible in the dental office.
